Entering its whopping 60th year, the Coastal Carolina Fair has returned to town with its delightful entertainment, adrenaline-pumping rides, deep-fried everything, impossible (but possible) fair games, and wonderful memories to be made. We are proud to have CDP and one of our very own take on the Parkway Stage.
The Coastal Carolina Fair is an annual fair that occurs at the Exchange Park Fairgrounds in Ladson, South Carolina. The fair is an all volunteer fundraiser of The Exchange Club of Charleston. Proceeds of over $789,000 from last year's Coastal Carolina Fair were distributed by the Exchange Club of Charleston to over 60 Low Country charities.
In addition to its charity to the Lowcountry, one of the many things the fair offers to the community is the opportunity and platform for local talent to entertain year after year. We would like to thank Miss Joan for securing us the last available slot for us to perform.
During a quick sound check before our performances, we put on music for fair goers to enjoy. A talented young boy came up on stage and danced his socks off! He gave us a run for our money and is probably going to become an entertainer one day :). Soon after, Charleston Dance Project took the stage to perform "Reaching". CDP was followed by a quick impromptu tag-team freestyle by Marlin Carrington and DJ Fullante. Meanwhile, Emmy Sheahan prepared for her solo backstage. She then performed her impressive solo to 'The Other Side of Paradise' by Glass Animals. BTW, props to our dancers for fearlessly executing floor work on a concrete stage!
Thank you to everyone who stopped by to watch our performances and shared your fair experience with us! We hope you enjoyed the show!
